What is CBD?

The abbreviation CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is a compound found in the cannabis plant. It is considered one of the most important compounds and is extracted from the hemp plant. Unlike THC found in marijuana plants, CBD is not psychoactive. Consuming CBD, therefore, does not alter a person's state of mind. 

What is THC?

The abbreviation THC stands for tetrahydrocannabinol. It is the most important compound in the marijuana plant and also belongs to the cannabinoid family. In contrast to CBD, THC has psychoactive properties or provides the well-known "high" effect after it is consumed.

Is CBD legal?

If CBD is extracted from hemp, it contains much less THC. This means that the psychoactive properties that get you "high" are not included. Products containing less than 1% THC have been legal in Switzerland since 2016. In Europe, on the other hand, the permitted level is less than 0.3% THC.

Is CBD the Only Cannabinoid in the Hemp Plant?

CBD is one of numerous cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. The ones we are most familiar with are CBD and THC. But there are others, such as cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN). It is believed that around 200 other cannabinoid molecules are likely to be found.

Can you grow CBD at home?

Basically, it is allowed to plant CBD at home. However, the permitted level of less than 1% THC must not be exceeded. By following these instructions, you can grow your CBD hemp plants at home and watch them grow.

Is your CBD made from marijuana?

Basically, it is the same plant, the so-called Cannabis sativa. However, CBD is made from the hemp plant. Unlike marijuana, it contains less than 0.3% THC, which has psychoactive properties. Both cannabinoids can come from the same plant, but they have different effects on the body. CBD has numerous health benefits but no psychoactive properties.

What is the "entourage effect"? 

The entourage effect describes the response elicited when the different components of the cannabis plant work together. The effects on our body are therefore stronger and more effective than when the components are separated and fed to the body independently of each other. 

How long does CBD last?

The effects of CBD usually last between 6-12 hours, but this does not mean that the substance has been eliminated from the body. The half-life of CBD is 1-2 days. Due to the long half-life, the active ingredient stays longer in the body with regular use. 

How is CBD oil made?

There are different ways to make CBD oil. In the traditional method, the dried leaves and flowers are soaked in a carrier oil (coconut oil or olive oil), thus diffusing the medicinal substances into the oil. The oil is filtered after weeks and the medicinal active ingredients are trapped.

Can you overdose on CBD?

Even a high dose of CBD is not fatal. So you can't overdose. However, if you take too much, you may experience side effects such as lethargy and drowsiness. In this case, you should not operate machinery. It is not recommended to get behind the wheel in such a condition.

Is CBD Addictive? 

CBD cannot be addictive, but it can become a habit. Allowing the body to relax and alleviate pain, the numerous beneficial effects bring a sense of relief that many individuals crave. However, this is not a question of dependence, but merely symptomatic relief. 

Can I take CBD oil for pain relief?

It is recommended to take CBD for pain relief. According to experience reports, however, it should not only provide relief for mild pain, but also help to improve chronic pain. Talking to a doctor can provide clarity.

Can I take CBD oil for sleep problems?

Some studies indicate that CBD can help with sleep problems due to its effects on the endocannabinoid system. Among other things, this is responsible for influencing sleep in the body. However, since CBD has different effects on different people, it is advisable to do some research and check with a doctor before taking it.

Does CBD have side effects?

Since everyone reacts differently to food, it is advisable to do some research beforehand. In rare cases, allergies can also occur here. Possible side effects include, for example, mood swings, digestive problems or drowsiness. Observe what reactions you have and discuss everything else with your doctor.

Will I pass a drug test?

If you are undergoing a drug test, you should not consume our products. While CBD products won't get you high, they do contain a small trace of THC, which can affect your drug test result. After all, it is a hemp product. 

Will CBD get me high?

Since there is hardly any THC in CBD products, there is no likelihood of getting “high”. A THC level of less than 0.3% is too low to induce a psychoactive reaction. This value must comply with the regulations and must not be exceeded. 

When should I use CBD?

You can use CBD at any time of the day. There are no fixed rules here. Many take CBD either in the morning or in the evening so they can reap the benefits throughout the day or get a good night's sleep. It depends on what you want to achieve with the product. It's best if you listen to your body. 

Where should I store my CBD products?

CBD products should generally not be stored in rooms where they are exposed to direct sunlight. We recommend that you keep them dry and cool. The most important thing is to protect them from direct sunlight.

Can the color of my CBD tincture vary?

Color may vary a little due to the seasons as no dyes or other additives are used in our products. In nature, there are often slight differences that can be reflected in the coloring. However, this does not affect the quality of the CBD oil. This will of course be checked by us.  

How does it feel when taking CBD?

Every body reacts differently to CBD, so sticking to the dosage is important. Basically, CBD has been found to have numerous positive effects. Some experience relaxation, while others report relief from ailments such as anxiety, pain, inflammation, and an overall improvement in mood. 

Can I take CBD oil for anxiety, depression or stress?

Since CBD has an impact on the endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for regulating stress and anxiety responses, research is being conducted into whether it can be used to treat anxiety disorders in the future. Experience reports confirm the positive effects on anxiety and depression. In this case, you should talk to a doctor about possible treatment beforehand.

Can I take CBD oil for inflammation?

Numerous people report feeling better after taking CBD oil. It's no wonder this is often used as an anti-inflammatory supplement. However, CBD is said to help alleviate other symptoms as well. However, you should also consult an experienced doctor in this case. 

Are the products safe for pets?

Because pets are vertebrates, there's a good chance our four-legged friends will experience similar benefits. However, before you decide to give your pet CBD, you should get a veterinarian's opinion. In this way you will also find out which dosage is the right one.

How much CBD should I take?

As is often the case with a new product, it is good to start with small quantities. It is recommended to start with the smallest serving size and then increase as needed. Always observe how you feel after taking it and whether there are any possible side effects. 

Does CBD interact with medications?

When taking medication of all kinds, the interaction of the various substances must always be taken into account. The same applies to taking CBD in combination with medication. Seeing your doctor is highly recommended to avoid possible side effects. 

Can children take CBD?

Although CBD primarily has positive effects on the human body, we recommend that you speak to a doctor before administering CBD to your child. Children often react differently to substances than adults. A professional opinion should definitely be obtained in this case. 

What is the difference between hemp seed oil, CBD and hemp extract?

Even though they all come from the same plant, there are stark differences between them. As the name suggests, hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the cannabis plant. It does not contain CBD. The hemp extract is obtained from the trunk, stalks and flowers. This contains a high proportion of CBD, which is why hemp extract and CBD are often used interchangeably. 

What are adaptogens?

Adaptogen is a term used in herbal medicine. Adaptogens describe substances on a natural, plant basis. These should help the body to normalize physical processes and thus also help to adapt to stress.
