origin Lavender originally comes from the rocky, dry mountain slopes around the Mediterranean. Now it grows in huge fields and determines the characteristic image of Provence. Botanical lavender (lavendula angustifolia) belongs to the mint family with a height of up to 1 meter. Gray, lanceolate leaves grow on its long, slender stems and small, lavender-colored buds grow at the ends.
The flowering period is from July to August.
The plant has been used as an ornamental and scented plant since the Middle Ages. Parts used The flowers are harvested in the early morning when they are just opening. You cut them off with the stems and then dry them.
Lavender mixes well with grapefruit, bergamot, chamomile, palmarosa, rosewood, and linolea wood.
For restlessness and sleep disorders, mix with apricot kernel oil, rose and lemon balm and place on the breastbone as a compress.
